A chance meeting in the california desert with the wife of Rockabilly legend Jody Reynolds’ shortly after he passed away
was the spark that led to Terminal Twilight‘s cover of his morbidly brilliant single Fire of Love (1958). Meeting at his home
near Palm Springs, they were shown his pictures of Elvis, his collection of hollow body guitars and allowed to spend some
time with a box of 7 inches that previously belonged to famed DJ Alan Freed.

Previously covered by The Gun Club and MC5, Terminal Twilight’s version stays closer to the cool minimalist spirit of th
original while playing loose with the arrangement, adding finger-snap percussion, static-charge synthesizers, and ominous,
stabbing tremolo guitar. Infinite Soundtracks has also released a video for The Fire Of Love filmed by Terminal Twilight. ( http://vimeo.com/10263809 )

Air picks up where The Fire Of Love leaves off with a pulsing bass synth laying the ground for a vocal duet that plays call and response
with hand percussion, ping-pong synths, and an old telecaster – set in glorious hollywood technicolor!

The closing-credits instrumental Illusion City finishes the set with a pounding beat, echoing piano stabs, and nearly every synthesizer
in the Terminal Twilight studio twinkling and hissing in the distance. The brakes are cut and its a long winding road to the bottom...

The Fire Of Love (Fire Mix) and Air were originally released in March on the now sold-out 4 band (Terminal Twilight, Sleep Over,
oOoOO, and Survive) double Cassette compilation Dark As Night on Bathetic Records.
